Pet Friendly

We understand that for some people, pets are not only part of your family, but an essential part of your holiday.

That's why we're proud to be a pet friendly camping and caravan park. Your furry friends are welcome to join you at our park – but please contact our friendly staff when you book, to ensure we can organise the most suitable spot for you and your furry best friend!

Pet-Friendly Local Area

It’s not every day you find a pet-friendly holiday park right on a pet-friendly beach, close to a pet friendly Cafe—but that’s exactly what you’ll get at BIG4 Ulverstone! Whether it’s morning strolls on the sand or sunset playtime by the waves, your four-legged family members will love it just as much as you do.

  • Beach Hut Coffee, a cafe within walking distance of the Park welcome dogs. It's also at the entrance to the dog walking section of Ulverstone Beach. Win win.
  • Thirty Three Cups is known for its excellent coffee and vibrant café vibe. The outdoor seating is dog-friendly.
  • Buttons Creek Beach in front of the Park is dog friendly, making it an ideal escape for you and your dog.
  • Table Cape Tulip Farm between Ulverstone and Stanley welcome dogs to run between the tulip rows (on a leash).
  • Heading west along the Bass Highway towards Stanley? Make a stop at Detention River and Pebbly Bay, one of Tassie’s best-kept secrets for dog-friendly swimming!

Pet-Friendly Guidelines

We're excited to welcome your furry friends! Here are some guidelines to ensure everyone has a great stay:

  • Please let us know about your pet when you book. We’ll confirm their stay to make sure everyone is comfortable.
  • There's a $25 cleaning fee for pets staying in cabins.
  • You can bring up to two pets per site or cabin, but let us know if you’d like to bring more – we’re happy to discuss special arrangements.
  • Pets should be on a lead whenever they’re outside and should be well-behaved to ensure a peaceful environment for everyone.
  • To keep our park clean, please pick up and dispose of any droppings immediately.
  • While pets are welcome in many areas, they are not allowed in communal spaces like the amenities, or camp kitchen. The exception is registered assistance dogs.
  • As a pet owner, you’re responsible for your pet’s behavior and any impact they may have during your stay.
  • Pets should never be left unattended. Please take them with you whenever you head out.
  • Remember to follow local council laws and regulations as well as our park rules.

We look forward to meeting you and your pets!
